Anne Jean (Silver) Seger, 86, of Barbourtown Road, Canton, wife of the late Clifford Eugene Seger, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at home. She was born August 3, 1921 in Avon, daughter of the late Frank and Nora (O’Connor) Silver and had lived in Avon prior to moving to Canton 61 years ago. Mrs. Seger was the Post Master of the Canton Center Post Office for 33 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Cawasa Grange #34, Canton. She is survived by three sisters, Theresa Peebles of Canton, Josephine Keenan of West Hartford and Noreena Ade of Minnesota; three brothers, Alfred Silver of West Hartford, Joseph Silver of Enfield and Robert Silver of West Simsbury, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Silver and three brothers, Harry, Francis and John Silver. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, Sunday, February 3, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, February 4, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
