Rita's long and love-filled life came to a peaceful and comfortable end on July 10 in the midst of family at St. Francis Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband Wilbur, she leaves her immediate family: her son (Wilbur, Jr.) William and wife Joan of New Hampshire, her son Thomas and wife Marjorie of South Carolina, her granddaughter Kristine of Massachusetts, her grandson Erich of Pennsylvania, step-grandchildren Kimberly O'Brien and John McKay both of New Hampshire, and her husband's sister Eleanor and husband Edward Beighe of Pennsylvania. She was a life-long resident of the Rockville area including her final years in Woodlake at Tolland. Among her employers was Clyde Chevrolet, and among her charitable pursuits was that of religious education teacher at St. Bernard's Church where she was a charter member of its Women's Guild. A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 on July 13 at Burke-Fortin, 76 Prospect St. in Rockville. Relatives and friends may join the family from 10:00 until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard's Church to advance the causes of its Women's Guild.
