Irene J. (Ostrowski) Kwiatkowski, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was born on April 6, 1934in Hartford, CT to the late Walter and Stella Ostrowski. She was a devoted and beloved wife of the late Frank P. Kwiatkowski. She is survived by her daughter; Linda Ann Magnano, her Grandson; Christopher David Magnano, and Mae Louise Magnano. Irene was a communicant of St.Maurice Church in Bolton, CT and a Third Order Carmelite. Irene’s family is extremely proud that she helped create the Share and Care Program at St.Maurice Church. She was very devoted to the parish family and also equally devoted to the Catholic Faith. She was a very loving Grandmother who made many memories going on adventures, blueberry picking, sledding, and a trip to Poland with her Grandson. She loved to cook and could always be counted on to make the best potato salad, tuna fish sandwiches and deviled eggs. She loved all types of arts and dabbled at various painting forms and sculpting. She enjoyed reading and was very intelligent. She retired from Travelers after a long and fulfilling career. She was the matriarch of her family and she always loved unconditionally. She was a loving and beloved best friend to Gloria Holbrook and a very close friend to Patty Cinea and Carol Zabielski. Family and friends may join the family on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 between 5pm-7pm at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral home, 2665 Boston Tpke., Coventry. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 10am at St.Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Road, Bolton. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery in Coventry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.Maurice Church to be used for masses for all deceased family members and friends or to the North Coventry Volunteer Fire Department.
