Dorothy Morgan

Dorothy Reese Morgan, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 31, 2016. She was born on January 7, 1924 in Williamson, IL to the late Basil and Mary Reese. Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 48 years Alfred Thomas Morgan, her Brother Richard Reese and her daughter in law Kate. Dorothy and Al created the Al Morgan Family circus act traveling throughout the east coast and Canada performing at fairs, night clubs and television for over 20 years. It was known to everyone who had ever met Dorothy that to know her, was to love her. She had a quiet strength and a kind heart and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons; Alfred Thomas Morgan and his wife Yvonne, Kenneth Thomas Morgan and Sandra , William Morgan , and her daughter; Mary Jane Newman and her husband Ronald, her grandchildren; Adam Morgan and his wife Angela, Kenneth Morgan Jr. and his wife Ahmanise, Richard Maney and his wife Rachel, Christina Deer and her husband Rory, Jennifer Bartlett, Jessica Newman, Kimberly Newman; and also 9 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may join the family from 10 -12 on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpk (Rt.44), Coventry, CT 06238. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation in Dorothy’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
