Barbara Grusden

Barbara J. (Lagel) Grusden, 76, wife of the late Richard Grusden, and daughter of the late Harold and Esther (Neumann) Lagel passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Barbara was a lifelong resident of East Windsor, and held retail jobs in the area for companies such as McCrory’s, Brooks and Rite Aid, Retiring in 2007. She loved farming and enjoyed watching her beloved Denver Broncos and UConn Women’s Basketball teams. Besides her Husband and Parents, Barbara was pre-deceased by the joy of her life, her Daughter Lorie Cersosimo, a Brother, Harold Lagel Jr., and a Sister, Doris Van Buren. She leaves behind her Nephews, Robert Grant, David Grant, James Grant and Donald Grant, two Nieces, Audrey Grant and Theresa Grant-Giusani, a Brother in Law George Grusden; and a host of Great Nephews and Great Nieces and Cousins. Barbara also leaves a special longtime friend, Rose Mulka. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary Home of West Hartford, Fitzgerald Unit 2nd floor and the staff of the Masoncare Hospice Team for the loving and compassionate care of Barbara. At Barbara’s request burial will be private at the family’s convenience. Funeral arrangements will be made by Bassinger and Dowd Funeral Home in East Windsor.
