Gloria Jean Johnson 69, of New Britain CT, peacefully entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 20, 2016, surrounded by her family at UConn Health Center. Gloria Jean was born in New Britain, CT. and was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Pearl (Willis) Floyd. Gloria Jean is survived by her two daughters, Deborah L. Gregg and her companion Jeffrey Anderson and Melissa J. Yopp, both of New Britain, CT, four brothers, Woodrow (Yvonne) Floyd of Bristol, CT, Charles Floyd of Plainville CT, James (Mary) Floyd of New Britain, CT and Larry Floyd of New Britain, CT, her grandchildren, Je’naya King, Jeniqua Yopp Jazzilynn Yopp, and Jeffrey Smith, her great grandchildren RyShaun, Kalyiah, Jerimah, Justin, Jayce and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Homegoing Celebration for Gloria will be held Monday August 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church, 25 Crestwood Lane, New Britain, CT. with the Rev. Jacqueline King, Pastor, presiding. Committal Service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church Monday from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Service of Comfort provided by the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT.
