Patricia Serini

Patricia N. Serini, age 78, of Milford passed away at home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 11, 1937, in Bridgeport, to the late William and Nancy Benson. Pat was compassionate, generous, and extremely family oriented. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and traveling. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially “Grandma Day” with granddaughter, Alexandra. She also loved all things holiday, often baking and donating food and gifts for those in need. Pat was a registered nurse for over fifty years in the Milford healthcare system. She is survived by her devoted daughters Laur-Al Kendall and her husband Jay of West Haven, and Sher-Al Serini of Milford, son Alfred Serini, Jr. of New Haven, and granddaughter Alexandra Kendall. She was also Grammy to Andrew, Jeremy, and Nichole. Pat is also survived by brother Robert Benson of Deltona, FL, sister Sheila Howard of Maine, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Pat is predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred Serini. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad Street, Milford. A memorial service will take place at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ALS Association, Connecticut Chapter or any veterans’ association.
