Erzsebet Batizfalvi

Erzsebet (Elizabeth) Verebes Batizfalvi passed away, with her children by her side, in Milford Hospital on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born in Budapest, Hungary on July 22, 1934 to the late Eva Hesz and Jozsef Verebes. Very proud of her Hungarian heritage, she will be remembered for baking Hungarian pastries, especially on the holidays, an avid reader and being a member of St. James Church. But most important to Elizabeth was her family and how much she touch all their hearts. Besides reuniting with her parents, she will be joining her dedicated husband Janos in a better place. Elizabeth is survived by her loving children John Joseph Batizfalvi of Syracuse, NY and Judith Eva Batizfalvi of Milford, grandchildren Joshua Janos and Rachel Joan and her tiny friend “Lola”. Per her wishes, all services are private and are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P O Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101. The family would like to thank Josephine and Robert Lasko for their friendship. Rest peacefully Mom with Dad, we will mourn your loss but rejoice as you live on in our hearts forever.
