William J. Bremner, 90, beloved husband of the late Gladys Bremner, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at The Summit Nursing Home in Plantsville, CT. Born in Ythanwells, Scotland on January 10, 1926, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Bremner. William was in the British Army and a proud member of the Gordon Highlander Regimen. He was also a POW. He immigrated to the United States in 1959 and worked at AGC in Meriden until his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Currier and her husband Richard of Southington; a son, Colin Bremner and his wife Tina of Meriden; two granddaughters, Cheryl Lynn and Christine; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brittney and Jesse; one great-great granddaughter, Arianna and several nieces and nephews in the United States, Canada, Scotland and Australia.
All services will be private. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
