Maria Marques

Maria Marques, 76, wife of the late Antonio A. Marques, died, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 12, 1940 in Moimenta da Serra, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Alfredo and Adelaide (De Jesus) Paralta. She is survived by her daughter Dina Marques-Bruce and her husband John, three sons, Fernando Marques, Eduardo Marques and his wife Megan, and Ricardo Marques and his wife Michelle; and five grandchildren, Alex, Gabrielle and Samantha Bruce, Gavin and Emma Marques. She is also survived by one sister, Armandina Silva and her husband Frank, two brothers, Luis Paralta and Antonio Paralta and his wife Maria, a niece and two nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry& Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Monday, July 18th from 5 to 7pm.
