Lorraine J. D`Amico, 82, wife of the late Dante D`Amico died suddenly on July 19, 2016 at home. Born on Oct. 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Pare) Pepin. She had resided in Meriden her entire life and attended local schools. Lorraine was employed by Northeast Utilities as an Executive Secretary Nuclear Engineering Division, retiring in 1995. She was an avid reader who enjoyed relaxing with a good book. She cherished her grandchildren, family get togethers and memories of her travels to Ireland, Yosemite National Park, California, Florida and more. She loved her summer beach trips with her sister Dotty. She is survived her daughter Pam LaForge and Kurt Puleo, two sons, Bruce and Nancy Staszewski and Gary Staszewski: four grandchildren, Kimberly Wong, Douglas LaForge, Ava and Blake Staszewski: Three sisters Bertha Carbone, Jean Martin and Dorothy Fornal, also many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a sister, Rose Horosieski and a brother, Raymond Pepin. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11 am at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning prior to the service from 9 to 11 am.
