Harold Urquhart, 90, beloved husband of Elizabeth McInnes Urquhart, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Coccomo Health Care Center in Meriden. Born in New Haven, CT on December 19, 1925, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Later he was a gun machinist at High Standard in Hamden for many years. Harold was a pilot who loved flying and sky writing. He also enjoyed boating, fishing and the daily crossword puzzle. Besides his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by two children; Dennis Urquhart of Wallingford and Susan Urquhart of Meriden: three grandchildren, Keith and Shannon Urquhart and Alicia Mares all of Meriden and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. A private burial will take place at a later date at State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of John J. Ferry & Sons, 88 E Main St, Meriden, CT.
