Domenick M. Nigro, 88, died peacefully on August 12, 2016 at Westfield Manor Nursing Home. A lifelong resident of Meriden, he leaves his wife Ann, a son, Richard and his wife Beth, a daughter Linda, and her fiancé Ron, 5 grandchildren and his brother John along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Ange Luca. Domenick, the son of the late Matthew and Rosina (Nesci) Nigro was a veteran of the Korean War. He spent the majority of his life working at the International Silver Company as a machinist. He was also an avid bowler and a lifelong Red Sox and NY Giants fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning prior to the service from 9 to 10:30 am. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
