Alberto Ruperti

Alberto R. Ruperti, 90, husband of Olga (Alava) Ruperti, died on Thursday, September 22, 2016 unexpectedly at Midstate Medical Center. Born in Manta, Manábi, Ecuador on June 1, 1926, he was the son of the late Enrique and Maria (Lazano) Ruperti. He was a longtime resident of Meriden. Mr. Ruperti was employed by International Silver, Factory R, retiring in 1986. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, a Third Order Discalse Carmelite from Montecristi, Ecuador, a member of the Curcillo Catholic Movement and a member of the Meriden Senior Center. He was a devout family man who was generous and kind. He took great pride in his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Besides his wife of sixty-three years, Olga, he is survived by three children, Albert Ruperti, Gina (Ruperti) Bucchieri and her husband Fred and Priscilla (Ruperti) Esposito, all of Meriden; six grandchildren, Steven, Vincent, Gianni and Victoria Bucchieri, Catherine and Gabriella Esposito. He is also survived by many cousins including his special dear to his heart, Alba Campaña. Also cherished cousins Joseph, Ivette and Jorge Agurto for always being there for the family especially now during our time of sorrow. He was predeceased by his brother Luis A. Ruperti. He loved his family pets, Dobey (Zoey), Sunny and Buttercup. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center Street, Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Friends and family may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden on Sunday, September 25th from 4 to 8 pm.
