Caroline Correira

Caroline A. (Lombardi) Correira, 78, of Somers, entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday Aug. 7, 2016 with loved ones at her side in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of Richard T. Correira. Caroline was born on Dec. 12, 1937 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Angelo and Lucia (Dimauro) Lombardi. She had resided in Somers for the past 29 years and in Springfield, MA before that. Prior to retiring Caroline was employed with Nino’s Pizza, Enfield for several years. In her leisure time she had a passion for Italian food, enjoyed cooking, dancing, interior decorating, and Asian décor, but most of all spending time with her family. Besides her husband Richard of 47 years she is also survived by her children; Joseph M. Cirillo and Annamarie Ruvolo & husband Bruce, her four grandchildren; Naiya C. Dahl, Leah Cirillo, Alora Cirillo and Samuel Cirillo, and two great grandchildren; Nicholas Sarnelli and Emilia Sarnelli. Along with her parents she was also predeceased by a son, Thomas Cirillo and a brother, Joseph Lombardi. Caroline’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Aug. 10, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
