"Big John" John B. Demarest II passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, doing what he truly loved, riding his motorcycle. He was 60 years old. Big John was born January 7, 1956, to John Burton Demarest and Patricia Lorine Monahan in California. John loved many things in life including his family and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed fishing and was an advocate of medical Cannabis. He is survived by his 2 sons: Lance (Jennifer) of Durango and Ethan (Jennifer) of LaGrange, GA; 2 granddaughters Serenity and Dixie of Durango and 1 grandson Finley of LaGrange, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dave. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at Hood Mortuary Chapel. There will be a procession to Greenmount Cemetery following services. Motorcycles will be encouraged and lead the procession, appropriate attire (riding gear) is recommended.
