Dorotha Lee "Dottie" Morris passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at home, surrounded by family. Dorotha was born August 4, 1943 in Durango, to David and Faunetta Reeder. She grew up in Durango and attended Durango Schools. Dottie attended beautician school in Denver and worked for a short time in that industry. She worked many places around Durango, most notably, for Coca-Cola and retired from Bank of Colorado (formerly Burns). Dottie was a skilled crafter; sewing, quilting, painting were among her greatest abilities. She was an active member of Faith Community Church of the Nazarene as well as the Odd Fellows and Sarah-Rebecca's organizations. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. Most of all Dottie loved her family. She is survived by her brothers: Noel Reeder of Denver, CO, and Bob Reeder of Delta, CO; her son and his wife: Stormy & Carrie Morris of Bayfield; Grandchildren: Rocky, Rachel and Ben Morris of Bayfield; and extended family Herb Kirk and Delia Reeder. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Leon, Gene and Howard Reeder, and Betty Kirk; and extended family: Lee, Dorothy and Donna Reeder. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 3PM, at Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, on the Mesa. Memorial contributions may be sent to Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, 1400 Highway 172, Durango, CO 81303.
