Mrs. Virginia Rose (Mink) Hodges Smith, 85 of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Friday, August 19, 2016. She was born April 19, 1931 in Parkin, Arkansas the daughter of Newt Jasper and Jimmie (Spears) Mink. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Billy Hodges and Walter Hobert Smith, sons: Rickey and Billy Hodges, four brothers: Dewey Mink, Herman Mink, Otto Mink, and Orville Mink, and four sisters: Doris Ellis, Letha Riddell, Inez Strange, and Linnie Hampochan. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Shelia Lawson of Bay Village, one step-son, Walt (Joline) Smith, one step-daughter, Billie (Homer) Whiting, six grandchildren: Chad Lawson, Madeline (Jeremy) Luff, Carol Byers, Brandi Hodges, Justin Hodges, and Joline Smith, and six great-grandchildren. Virginia is a member of the Bay Village Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking and baking, being a caregiver, and spending time with her family and friends. Visitation is Monday, August 22, 2016 from 1:30 P.M. until Service Time at 3:00 P.M. in Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Steve Mabry will conduct the service with help from Sherrill Brown. Family will serve as active pallbearers and the Staff at Woodbriar Nursing Home will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be in Bay Village Cemetery. Arrangements by Jackson’s Funeral Home Memorials may be sent to the Bay Village Assembly of God Church@ Cherry Valley, Arkansas
