Mrs. Norma Jean Dudley Kell O’Brien, 91, of Whittier and Clearwater, Florida, passed away Saturday morning, October 1, 2016.
Born in Swifton, Arkansas, June 23, 1925, she was a member of the Pinellas County Pioneer Association in Florida, as well as a 50+ year member of the First United Methodist Church of Clearwater. She worked for a brokerage form for over 30 years, advancing from a board girl to secretary to the manager. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. O’Brien was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, and her husbands, Franklin Hatcher Kell and Joseph Timothy O’Brien.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Kell Roach and husband, Bob, of Whittier, North Carolina; three granddaughters, Deborah Jean Roach of Branson, Missouri, Laura Anne Roach of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Stacie Lynn Dudley of Cashiers, North Carolina; four great-grandchildren, Kevin Michael Littler of Whittier, North Carolina, Robert Christopher Dudley of Whittier, North Carolina, Lane Randall Tingen of Cashiers, North Carolina; and Caitlin Ann Tingen of Cashiers, North Carolina.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Swifton Cemetery.
