Mrs. Joyce Alline Bass, 71, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born in Harrisburg on December 14, 1944 the daughter of George and Essie (Wallace) Seabourn. Joyce married Mr. Bill Bass on May 29, 1991 and they have enjoyed twenty-five years together. She was a mechanic for thirty years of her life and worked as a Personal Care Worker in Home Health for seventeen years. Joyce is a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg and enjoyed being in church very much with her church family. She enjoyed camping, just driving around sight-seeing, the Cardinals baseball team, and spending time with her family and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sheila Qualls, one brother, George Seabourn Jr., two sisters: Janice Jones and Carolyn Quinn. She is survived by her husband, Bill Bass of Harrisburg, two sons: James Vannatter and Kenneth Bass both of Harrisburg, five daughters: Darlene Bell of Bay, Tina Crawford, Annetta Sharp, Carmon Tiger, and Kim Drum all of Harrisburg, two sisters: Annie Cooper of Florida and Dorothy Shepperson of Jonesboro, twenty-one grandchildren and forty-two great grandchildren. Bro. Charles Lewis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will conduct the services. These men will serve as active pallbearers: Daniel Raby, Kenneth Bass, Kyle Norris, Nathan Norris, Dustin Drum, and Garrett Drum. These men will serve as honorary pallbearers: Paul Masters, Randal Castelman, Jimmy Crawford, Gary Jones, Tyler Drum, and Roy Eldridge. Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2016 at Jackson’s Funeral Home with visitation Thursday from 5:00~8:00 P.M. Interment will be in Bay Village Cemetery. Arrangements: Jackson’s Funeral Home.
