Billy Junkin

Mr. Billy T. “Bill” Junkin, 81, of Harrisburg departed this life Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at NEA in Jonesboro. Bill was born in Enis, Texas on October 21, 1934 the son of William Marshall and Katherine (Brown) Junkin. Bill married Glenda Seats on June 3, 1967 and they have enjoyed forty-nine years of marriage. He was a Commercial Pilot and worked as a Crop Duster for several years. Bill served his country in the Army, was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: William and Katherine Junkin and one son-in-law, Rick Allen. He is survived by his wife, Glenda of the home in Harrisburg, four children: John and wife Maggie Junkin of Rockwell, Texas, Ricky and wife Lynn Craft of Powersite, Missouri, Debra Allen of Rockwell, Texas, and Connie and husband Larry Vanhoozer of Harrisburg, AR, one sister, Patricia Renie of Texas, seven grandchildren: Clarissa Wright, Byron Griffin, Garrett Junkin, Katie Junkin, Charolette Aalders, Jennifer Throgmartin, and Ricky Craft Jr., and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 Friday, July 8, 2016 at Jackson’s Funeral Home with visitation Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6:00~8:00. Bro. Jerry Kausler will conduct the service. These people will serve as active pallbearers: Burt Grubbs, Garrett Grubbs, Daniel Grubbs, Butch Roberts, Ray Lee, Doug Cravens. These men will serve as honorary pallbearers: Donald Lee, Doug Alsup, Jamie Peck, Marvin Krauss, Steve Gann, Milas Rudolph, Donald Holt, Lohnes Tiner. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
