Mr. Benny D. Wright, 56, of Harrisburg departed this life Sunday, October 2, 2016 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born in Harrisburg on February 4, 1960 the son of James and Margie Wright. Benny married Sandra Evans on August 10, 2002 and they have enjoyed fourteen years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his father, James “Buddy” Wright in 2007. Benny was a farmer and raised cattle. He is a member of the Assembly of God Church in Harrisburg and was very active in church activities including missions attending the Refuge Church of the Assembly of God in Jonesboro for many years. Benny enjoyed deer and duck hunting, watching the Razorback play football, and spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. His most enjoyable time was spent with Sandra sitting on the back porch watching their cattle graze. Benny is survived by his mother, Margie Wright, his wife, Sandra Wright both of Harrisburg, two sons: Jeremy and wife Madeline Luff of Harrisburg and Josh Luff of Brookland, one daughter, Allison and husband Willie Mills, one brother, Jimmy and wife Judy Wright of Harrisburg, two sisters: Linda and husband Amos Chambers of Jonesboro and Brenda and husband Larry Forbis of Marion, AR , four grandchildren: Madison and Hadleigh Mills and Josie and Jasper Luff, nephews: Nathan and Stacy Wright and Kevin and wife Jamie, niece, Amanda and husband Everett Lucas. Pastor Matt Smith and Bro. Eddie Passmore will conduct the service. These men will serve as active pallbearers: Jeremy Luff, Josh Luff, Willie Mills, Kevin Wright, Nathan Wright, and Chad Lawson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Clay Hubbard, Jeremy Wright, Chris Flanigan, Barry Massengill, Jim Jim Butler, Gene Donaldson, Frankie Lindsey, Danny Clements, Scott Thorgmartin, and Keith Rubottom. Funeral services are 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Jackson’s Funeral Home with visitation Tuesday from 6:00~8:00. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
