Robert M. Doering, Sr., 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 in his home. He was born on December 9, 1935 in Crofton, Nebraska to Reuben and Dorothy (Folkers) Doering. He was a heavy machine operator for King County Systems. He attended Fianna Hills Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou and one daughter Patricia Doering. A family held memorial service will be at 12:00PM, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Fianna Hills Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is survived by his two daughters, Dawn M Doering and Jaclyn Haynes and her husband Theodore both of Fort Smith, AR; one son, Robert Doering, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; six brothers, Kenny, Henry, Ronnie, Leroy, Reuben, and Alan L. Doering; four sisters, Marlene Stamm, Darlene Jenson, Arlys Reynolds and Ruby Geoden; Memorials may be made to Memorial and Honor Program-F, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1905 Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home.
