Janice Collins obituary with photo Recognizing a fight well fought and a race well run, we celebrate the passing of Janice Jane Collins, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, from this old life into a new one in glory. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Janice Jane Collins, 78, of Poteau, Oklahoma formally of Lubbock, Texas went to meet Jesus on Tuesday October 4, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born in Spur, Texas on November 7, 1937 to Quincy and Tempie Arnold. On January 1, 1955 she married Joe Dale Collins. As an Air Force wife she embraced that life style. She worked outside the home as a hair stylist and a banker. Jane is preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Little. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Joe; one daughter, Beckie Little and her husband Gary of Springdale, Arkansas; one son, David Collins and wife Karen of Van Buren, Arkansas; two sisters, Wanda Delacruz of Jamestown, California and Robbie Bates of Montrose, Colorado; five grandchildren, Julie McDonald, Jamie Minton, Christopher Collins, Jodie DeRose and Katie Little; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday October 7, 2016 at the Abbey Chapel in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Lubbock, Texas under the direction of Rest Haven Funeral Home.
