Vera Murl Ray Gates age 76 a homemaker of Dickinson, AL died May 22, 2016 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born September 20, 1939 in Morvin, AL. She is survived by her son, William Douglas (Jane) Gates, five daughters, Reta Faye (Terry) Smith, Kathy Merle (Rex) Dailey, Darlene (Bruce) Smith, Marilyn Diane (Dale) Barnes, and Tracey Loretta (Jerry) Webb, two sisters, Annie Louise Henderson and Brenda Lee Agee, nineteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Samuel Gates. Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. James Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville, AL. Arrangements by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL.
