Vaughn Shelton
Vaughn Shelton, age 94, Flag Pond, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016, in the Summit View Nursing Home, Rocky Top, TN. He was a native of Madison County, NC and had lived most of his life in Unicoi County. Mr. Shelton was the son of the late Saul and Ruthie Shelton. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Ann Fowler. Mr. Shelton leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of seventy-three years, Margery Fender Shelton; a son, Bobby Shelton and wife, Laura of Flag Pond; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
