Mary Joyce Crain, age 69, 2405 Chestoa Pike, Erwin passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She lived most of her life in Erwin. Mary was a daughter of the late Tony and Eula Woody Metcalf. She was a homemaker. Mary was of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Metcalf; two sisters: Bobbie Jean Honeycutt and Ann Keiser. Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Romas Crain; two daughters: Denise Crain Shelton of Erwin and Teresa Crain Shelton and husband, Wayne of Plant City, FL; four brothers: Raye Metcalf and wife, Teresa, Jerry Metcalf, Kenny Dale Metcalf, all of Flag Pond, Gleen Metcalf and wife, Shirley of Leicester, NC; four sisters: Margaret Rauen and husband, Carl of Benton, KY, Judy Metcalf, Patsy Edwards, both of Erwin and Faye Thorp of Flag Pond; two grandchildren: Logan Shelton and Jay Shelton, both of Erwin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until the hour of service on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the residence. Reverend Cline Hensley, Jr. will officiate at the 7:00 P. M. funeral service. It was Mary's request to be cremated.
