Johnny Williford Obituary

Johnny Williford, age 78, 260 Bulldog Miller Road, Jonesborough, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Knox County before making his home in Unicoi County. Mr. Williford was a son of the late Marion Williford and Josephine Henley Williford Long. He retired from the Johnson City Foundry where he was employed as a molder for thirty years. Mr. Williford was a member of Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two grandsons: Johnny Lee and Kenneth Ray Williford; two brothers: Bobby and Leonard David Williford; three sisters; three half brothers: Charlie, Larry and Sammy Long. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Shirley Blevins Williford; two sons: Johnny Ray Williford, Jr., Joey Allen Williford both of Jonesborough; one daughter, Shelia Wood and husband, Johnny of Johnson City; one brother, Delmar Williford of Jonesborough; three grandchildren: Brittany Higgins, Misty Southerland and Kimberly Lane; five great grandchildren: Destney Williams, Daniel Williams, Braxton Robertson, Trenton Winteroulf and Jadan Higgins. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29 at 7:00 P. M. at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Otis Banks will officiate.
