Joan White, age 73, 365 Rich Hollow Road, Erwin, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County but had lived in Unicoi County for the past sixteen years. Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Cox Smith. She was a homemaker. Mrs. White was of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George White on January 20, 2014 and one son, Randy White. She leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons: David White and wife, Tina, Charles Walters and wife, Tammy, all of Jonesborough; one daughter, Anna Fitzgerald and husband, Ricky of Erwin; five grandchildren: Eugene Epler, David Epler, Britney Epler, Dana White and Marisa Walters; one niece, Joyce Snyder. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Monday, September 26, 2016 in the White Cemetery, Rockingham Road, Gray, TN. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate.
