Batters: Mabel Ethel Batters (Smallpiece) July 4th, 1918 - September 11th, 2016 passed away peacefully at Long Lake Valley Facility at Imperial, Saskatchewan where she has resided since February 2013. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ellen Smallpiece, husband Loyall and siblings Annie Bell, William, Frederick, Herbert, Edith, Alice Sumpton, Kitty Riach, Mary Greenlay and Ernest. Mabel leaves to mourn her daughter Karen (Don) Dillabough of Regina; Grandchildren, Trevor (Jodi) Dillabough Cochrane AB, Kelly (Garth) Fleece Regina; Great grandchildren, Sherri (Adrian) Grassick, Ty Dillabough, Shania Dillabough all of Cochrane AB, Brynna Fleece, Talan Fleece of Regina; Great-great grandchildren, Rylin Grassick and Owen Grassick of Cochrane AB, Sister Ellen Brownridge of Portage la Prairie MB as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Long Lake Valley facility for their thoughtful care given to Mabel while in their care. Funeral service and interment in Hillside Cemetery will take place at Portage la Prairie MB at a later date.
