Rishel : It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Gwendolyn Phyllis Rishel (L'Oste Brown). Gwen was born on the family farm at Simpson July 5, 1927 the youngest of 5 children. She met and married the love of her life, Charles Rishel on Dec. 6, 1949. They have 3 children: Brett (Ruby) son Cory and grandson Declan, daughter Kim; Murray sons TJ (Martine), Beau (Lindsay), daughter Lacey (Marc) and granddaughter Breyah; Laurie and son Logan. Gwen was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She has many nieces and nephews whom she held very dear. Her quick wit and sense of humour won her many friends over the years. She will be missed. Her battle with Alzheimer's is now over and she can rest in peace. At her request there will be no funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Watrous Cemetery.
