Doris Theresa Hulm May 25, 1920 - May 28,2016 Doris passed away peacefully at the Manitou Lodge where she had lived since 2003. She was born May 25, 1920 on the family farm near Allan, Sask. Doris was predeceased by her parents Micheal and Veronica, and siblings Tony, Mary, Katherine, Angeline, Jacob, Anne, Helen, Wendelin, Peter, Jean, Edith, Rose, and Frank. She was a special aunt and will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Doris attended Bell Lake School in South Allan and stayed on the farm until her late teens. Then she moved to Young to live with Angeline and her family. She worked at the Young Service Station for many years before becoming a secretary for the R.M. of Morris and the Village of Young for 15 years before retiring in 1985. All her life, Doris kept busy with family and friends. Her green thumb was always noticeable in the garden and the many flowers she grew both at her place and her neighbors. She spent countless hours knitting sweaters for family and friends and loved quilting with family. Photography was also one of her many passions. She loved pulling out her photo albums to show her latest pictures of friends, family, and nature. However, her greatest love was of music and dancing, which was with her till the end. She loved sharing a cup of coffee with anyone who took the time to visit and welcomed everyone with open arms and a big smile. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donations to the Alzheimer Society. A graveside memorial will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Young Cemetery starting at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements in care of Fotheringham - McDougall Funeral Service.
