Albert Edmund Bart was born March 17, 1931 on the family farmstead near TATE, SK, the eldest of three children. He attended Killarney School thru grade 8. The family farm relocated to just north of Nokomis during his younger years. He worked on the family farm from a young age. Dad was a smart man with drive and determination which carried throughout his farming career and his entrepreneurial endeavors. He was a very mobile individual, one way or another, and was able to maintain that mobility & independence until his passing. ALbert passed away peacefully on May 19, 2016 at his home in Nokomis. Surviving Albert are his son Brian (Rita) and his daughter Carol, his grandchildren Haley (Jeremy) Brauner and great grandson Benjamin; Lisa and great granddaughter Ella; Cory; his late daughter’s partner, Jim Ness (& special friend, Joanne), sister Ruth Schroeder and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy (2013), daughter Laurie (1999), his parents Adolf and Beate (Kratz), sister Erna and brother-in-law Don Lindeburg and brother-in-law Eldon Schroeder.
