POOLE, Elizabeth “Betty” Mary (nee Birtch) - Born October 23, 1934, died peacefully at her home on July 19th, 2016 surrounded by her family. Betty was the beloved wife of John Poole for over 59 years. Mother of Mary (Kip Veenendaal), David (Karen), Michael (Sheena) and Anne (Bruce) Janauskas. Loving Nana of Sofie and Michael, step grandmother of Coby and Keira and great grandmother of Jack and Beckett. Sister of Pat Babensee, Alan Birtch, Cheryl (Andy) Szocs, Don (Judy) Birtch and sister-in-law to Barbara Smith, Rick and Eleanor Poole, Cathy Poole, John Young, Dorothy Poole and Jaquie Poole. Betty will always be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Hilda Birtch, her son Christopher Poole, brothers-in-law David Babensee, Bill Smith, Phil and Peter Poole and by her sister-in-law Pat Young. A private Memorial Mass was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Woodstock. Interment was held in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
