Margaret Louise Wettlaufer

It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Margaret Wettlaufer on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the age of 89. Margaret was surrounded by the love of her sister and niece as she entered into eternal life to be with her Heavenly Father. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Marion Tannassee ( nee Wettlaufer) and her niece Margaret-Anne Tannassee and Stephen Roberts. She will missed by her godson, Paul Knorr and his wife Kathy, her cousins Ronnie, David, Karen and Alexander Jacobi. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Rev. Geoffry Yisu Tannassee in 1979 and her parents William and Naomi (Jacobi) Wettlaufer, owners of Wettlaufer's department store in Waterloo. Margaret was a graduate of Waterloo College (University of Western Ontario) and worked at Wilfrid Laurier University Library for 32 years. She was a long time and faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church , active in teaching Sunday school, belonged to ELW and volunteered in the church library. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed cooking, sewing and travelling the world. A private family service was held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2016 to celebrate Margaret’s life. Pastor Fred Ludolph officiated with Pastor Peeter Vanker participating. Interment took place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
