Kathleen Diane Redman Obituary

On Aug 25th, 2016, after a brief stay at Hospice Wellington, Kathleen Diane Redman lost her courageous struggle with Melanoma. She took her strength and positive attitude from the support of both family and friends, and almost beat this terrible disease. In the end, it was too much sun that took her life. She was the Lover, Soul Mate and Best Friend to her husband Merv. They were married for 37 wonderful years. They truly enjoyed every single day together. She is lovingly remembered by her Step Daughters Pauline Redman(Gavin Kagan) and their children Thomas, Sydney, Lily and Adam King (Alix) and daughter Attiah, and Penny Frim (Peter, deceased) and their children Christine and Joey. She leaves a brother Jim Verutis(Fran) and a sister Betty Pagett (Joe), and a Nephew Craig Verutis(Tracy) and their children Troy and Brett and a Nephew Jason Verutis and his son Tyler. Also survived by her sister-in-law Bev Middlemass (Jack deceased) and brother-in-law Warren (Karen) Redman and their family. She was predeceased by her parents George and Sophie Verutis. Friends are invited to share their memories of Diane with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, August, 28, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Monday Aug. 29 from 10 – 10:45 am. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 am, Rev Dr. J. Mark Lewis officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Parkview Cemetery Waterloo. In Lieu of Flowers, please consider supporting Diane's wish to help The Oncology Department at the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and to the Grand River Hospital. Please consider donating to the Merv & Diane Redman Family Fund at The Kitchener & Waterloo Community Foundation. The Merv & Diane Redman Family Fund will grant funds annually to the Cancer Centre and Grand River Hospital.
