It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Cornelia (Conni) McWhinnie, after a courageous battle for her life at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 53. Beloved mother of Caitlin and Andrew. Cherished twin sister of Barbara Spavins (Bruce), and adored sister to Antje Dietel (Thomas) and Uwe Mewes (Astrid). She is predeceased by her father Joachim Mewes. Conni will be greatly missed by all who loved her, especially her mother Ursula Mewes, extended family and faithful friend Zena. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 noon.
