Ernest Donnelly passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 29, 2016. He was 71. Ernie had many friends and his family would like to thank all of them for the outpouring of support over the last few months. Ernie, son of the late Denis and Isabel, is missed by his wife Sherry (Lehman), children; Chris and Alison Donnelly of Milverton, Scott and Melanie Donnelly of Grimsby, Kim Donnelly and John Leblanc of Chepstow, James and Rachel Donnelly of Sebringville and Amanda and Bill Plakholm of Eden Grove and his 8 grandchildren. Ernie will also be lovingly remembered by the Lehman family. Ernie grew up and lived on the family farm in Pinkerton. He enjoyed playing hockey and baseball for Pinkerton teams and later coaching the Cargill Rookies and youth baseball teams. For years, Ernie spent many volunteer hours organizing the Cargill ball tournament. Ernie also enjoyed hunting and in 2015 celebrated the 50th anniversary of his first deer hunting trip by returning to the Manitoulin camp to hunt for the last time. He loved playing cards, both at the camp, and anywhere else there was a euchre deck. Ernie's humour, storytelling, and smiling eyes will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ernie's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Saturday, July 2nd, 2016 at the Cameron Funeral Home (1106 Yonge St. S, Walkerton).
