Leszek Mac

Leszek (Les) Zbignew Mac passed away in his sleep on October 18, 2016 at the age of 66 at the North York General Hospital. Born in Strzelin, Poland to Czeslaw and Ludmila Mac, Les studied at the Politechnical University where he received his masters in Electronics Engineering. In 1976, Les married Eva in Warsaw. They moved to Canada with their daughter, Dorota in 1982. Les was a kind and loving father, husband, and friend to all. Les had an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. He ran a service and design firm for 30 years specializing in power protection systems and more recently in power conversion systems for wind and solar energy. Les was passionate about his work. He also enjoyed walking, good food, action shows, and some occasional sweets. Les will be missed by all who knew him. Les is survived by his wife Eva of 40 years, daughter Dorota, mother Ludmila, brother Jurek, sister Krystyna, and extended family. A special thank you to the North York General Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the North York General Hospital.
