The family announces with great sorrow his passing at home on Thursday September 22, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Veronika Mihelcic. Loving father of Carmen Ferris (Kyle) and Carolina Roy (Michael) both of Timmins. Loving grandfather of Ryan and Kendall Ferris and Emerson Roy. Dear brother of Nevenka Madzia (late John) and Mary Kratofil (late Vlado). He is survived by his nieces and nephews Debi Hudson (Allan), Arsen Kratofil (Angela), Joanne Lizotte (Richard), James Madzia (Antonietta). He is also survived by his great nephews and great nieces Jason Chase (Lissa), Jessica Lizotte (Christopher), Nico and Dario Kratofil, Sofia, Marina and Neva Madzia and his great-great nephew Devin Chase. He is also survived by family in Croatia. His greatest joy in life was his family who he loved very much. There was nothing that could bring a bigger smile to his face than seeing his 3 beautiful granddaughters. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 followed by interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Remembrance donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
