Terrance “Terry” Smeltzer May 17, 1953 to August 17, 2016 63 Years The family announces with great sadness the passing of their beloved husband, father, father-in-law, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Loving and devoted husband to Carolle (Beaulieu) and a very special dad to Corrie-Anne and father-in-law to Richard (Robichaud). Terry is gone to be with his son Darcy in heaven. Forever loved by his mom Joyce, his dad Clayton (predeceased) and his brother’s David (Lori), John (Mary), Rick (Bev), Jeffery (predeceased), Stephen (Julie) and his sister Sandi. A very special son-in-law to Rita & Georges (Beaulieu) and brother-in-law to Linda (Ron), Charlie (Louise) and Patsy (Rick). Terry will always be remembered and loved by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and cousins. Terry loved and lived for his family. As long as he was with his family it didn’t really matter where he was or what he was doing, just as long as they were together. Terry was a great role model to his children, Corrie-Anne and Darcy. Many of his life lessons will be carried on. Terry’s love for the outdoors showed through his dedication as President of the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters for two years and his work as a Deputy Conservation Officer while living in Elliot Lake. Also, his work allowed him to share in his love of the outdoors as a Sales Rep for Big Rock Sports and KTL. Funeral service will be held, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Notre Dame De Lourdes in Alban, with visitation in the church hall at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Please, no flowers, however, donations would be appreciated in Terry’s memory to the Maison Vale Hospice.
