In Loving Memory of Lucille Larose (nee Michaud) It is with heavy hearts that we announce her passing on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She passed away peacefully with family by her side at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Daughter of the late Benjamin Michaud and Lorette Gervais. Beloved wife to the late Aldege A Larose, for 46 years. Loving mother to Donald Michaud (Carol), Diane Chevrette (Alfred), Anita Boyle (late Alex), the late Gilberte Kasunich (Dave) and Rachel Guy (Willie). Cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren with one more on the way. Survived by her dear sister Lorraine Nero. Predeceased by her brothers Benjamin, Wilfred, Rheal, Rene and Kenny Michaud, and by her sisters Jeanne Savarie, Delina Suomi, Betty Warbrick and Kathleen Furlotte. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Loved by her travel companions and friends, the late John King and Fred Bailey. Lucille served in World War II as a member of the Women’s Army Corps and then spent 25 years as a Nurse’s Assistant and was known by her colleagues as “Mother Larose”. She was a loyal member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 for 25 years. Lucille had a zest for life, loved playing Euchre, winning many tournaments. She spent many Saturday Nights in Canada with the Montreal Canadiens hockey team from her lazy-boy chair. She worshipped the sun and lived life to the fullest. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Thursday, a memorial service will be held 7:30 P.M. Thursday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 76, Sudbury). Memorial Mass at the Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury Friday, October 28th, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation with interment at the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
