In Loving Memory of Joseph “Butch” Raymond Burns September 6, 1937 – August 20, 2016 Son of the late Jean N. Burns and Alberta Lafrance died two weeks short of his 79th birthday. He is survived by his sister Yvette (Burns) Fortin (Raeul predeceased) and 2 sisters in law Yvonne (Chasse) Burns and Evelyn Somers. Predeceased by Marion Brabant (Leo), J.I. Burns, Victor, Beatrice Burns (Emile), Roland, Lorraine Bradley (Lionel), Gerry and Patrick. Papa was happiest spending time with his beautiful “Fouine” Huguette (Collin) Burns, his children Michelle Burns (David), Jean Luc Burns (Elaine), Anne Roberts (Ward), Paul Burns and the light of his life Laura and Stephanie. Godfather of Gary Laframboise, Daniel Leduc, Marc and Jasmine Collin, Laura and Stephanie Roberts. Born in Chapleau, he worked for 35 years as a Lead Welder with INCO at the Copper Refinery. Butch lived his faith every day and was a devoted member of St. Jacques Parish. He enjoyed gardening, opera music and was a wonderful tinkerer, creating joy in his garage. Children loved him and he loved them. He had a true passion for family, his caring wife of 55 years, his children, his extended family and most importantly his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered as a kind and gentle soul. Funeral Visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol Chapel 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer (Friends may call 6-8:30pm Friday) Funeral Mass in St. Jacques Church, Hanmer Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to NEO Kids Foundation or HSNF Cardiac Unit would be appreciated.
