With love and respect we honour our mother Joan who passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2016. Born March 18th, 1935 in Campbell’s Bay, Quebec to Bill and Velma Radey, Joan was the eldest of five children. She was sister to four brothers: Edward (Jeanne predeceased); Earl; Gerald (predeceased); and Keith (Aline). Joan married Ron Lavigne (predeceased 2005) on May 21st, 1955, and together they began their family that grew to include Cathy, Ron (Lee), Bill (Phillip), Kevin (Pauline) and Chris (Lori). Joan is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Jennifer (Sandy); Jeremy (Rae); Kurtis (Darcie); Sarah; Rebecca (Matt); Wesley (Christine); Scott (Kirsty); Michael (Tonya); Jeffrey (Julie); Noemie and Chloe. She is lovingly remembered by her eight great grandchildren: Chayse, Fia, Peyton, Sadie, Jack, Wesley, Elizabeth and Bodhi. Joan is survived by a large extended family of aunts and cousins. She touched the lives of many people within her family and in her community of friends with her compassionate caregiving abilities and her never ending love of music. Thursday) Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Road, Sudbury Friday, October 21st, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Cemetery.
