In Loving Memory of Anastasia Berezowsky (nee Hawrylak) With love and respect we honor our mother Anastasia (Anna) who passed away after a long illness on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016. Anastasia was born in the Ukraine. She was the oldest child of Maria and Nichola Hawrylak, predeceased. She had two younger brothers, Petro (wife Gancka) and Dmetro (wife Maria) all predeceased. Her younger sisters both died as babies. During the war, Anna emigrated to Germany, then England and finally Canada where she met her husband, Henry Berezowsky, also predeceased. Anna was a very caring and compassionate person. She was very dedicated to her family. She was also very fond of animals and very much enjoyed her pets. Anna is sadly missed by her three children, Mary Reiser (husband Mike), Roman and Helen Berezowsky; three grandchildren, Robert (wife Sarah, son Dominick, daughter Annastasia), Paul and Peter Reiser; and several cousins from out west. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-4; 6-8 P.M. Friday with Panakhyda at 8:00 P.M. Friday) Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 40 Notre Dame Avenue, Sudbury Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Interment in the Civic Cemetery Donations can be made to the Health Sciences North Foundation, St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ukrainian Seniors Center or Pet Save.
