Campbell passed away peacefully at Maplewood Manor in Seaforth on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Born in Neepawa, Manitoba, on Monday, October 2, 1922, George Campbell Wey of Seaforth and formerly of Walton, was in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Edith (nee Hackwell) for 66 years (Feb. 26, 2015). Loving father of Douglas Wey (Heidi Engelhardt) of Waterloo, Deborah Wey (Dwayne Mountney) of Port Colborne and the late Dena Kale (Larry) of Pittsburgh. Cherished Grandpa of Karla Kale (Chris Stead), Cameron Kale, Tess Wey and Duncan Wey. Predeceased by parents George and Marion (nee Campbell) Wey, siblings Margaret Hillstrand (Cliff), Samuel Wey, Betty Wey, and sister-in-law Bernice Gray (Donald). There will be no formal visitation or funeral service. At Campbell’s request a private graveside committal service will be held in Maitlandbank Cemetery at a later date.
