Paul Verzin November 11, 1943 – June 27, 2016 Passed away peacefully at St Michael's Hospital on June 27, 2016 in his 73rd year. Loving husband and friend of Alina Anna (nee Mous) for 41 years. Beloved father of Angela Margaret Lopes (Rui). Proud Papa of Lucas Paul Lopes and Sara Elizabeth Lopes. Survived by his brothers, Phil (Linda), John (Sheila) and Charles(Janet). His in-laws Tony(Linda), Frank (Donna), John (Gayle), Robert (Carolyn), Karla, Anne, Cathy, James (Edie) and William (Jenny). Predeceased by his parents Carmel and Olga Verzin, in-laws Joe and Harry, Elizabeth and Jan. Paul worked for the city of Toronto for over 31 years as Patrolman and then Carpenter. His love, first and foremost was his family. He enjoyed many hours of working with wood, carving and boating. The family would like to thank St. Michael's hospital for their exceptional care from every member of the staff. Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held at St Elizabeth Seton, 17955 Leslie St., Newmarket on Monday, July 4th at 2 p.m. Reception following service in church hall. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice, St. Michael's Hospital foundation, or the St Elizabeth anniversary project in Paul’s memory.
