Farkas, Theresia (nee Bayer) It is with heavy hearts and sadness we announce the passing of Theresia at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Leopold Farkas (1976). Loving mother of Barbara Gruber and her husband Frank. Cherished Oma of Rosemarie Bean, and Linda Mezic (Richard). Much beloved Omi of Connor, Spencer, Flynn and Avery Bean, and Nicholas and Lukas Mezic. Predeceased by her 2 sisters, Maria and Katharine Fuchs and an infant brother Tony Bayer. Theresia was a member of the Schwaben Club for many years, The Einigkeit Club, and St. Mary's German Congregation, Kitchener. Theresia's family will receive relative and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 with Rosary at 3:00 p.m. at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener 519-749-8467. Prayers on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 9:20 am at the funeral home followed by a procession to St. Mary's RC Church, 56 Duke Street, West Kitchener for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. followed by a reception. A private family interment at Woodland Cemetery.
