MENICH, Mary Arlene With family by her side, on September 21, 2016, after her second battle with cancer, at the age of 75. Dearly beloved wife of Joseph John Menich for 52 years. Devoted mother of Liza (Wayne) Mercier, Tia Menich, and Barbara (Philip) Garrett. Proud Grandma of Emmett, Elliott, Clark, and Zoe. Dear sister of Lavercy (Elsie) Leis (deceased), Llewellyn (Grace) Leis (deceased), Lydiann (Thomas) Foley (deceased), Lynetta (Oscar) Musselman (deceased), Allen (Ruth) Leis (deceased), Adella (Gordon) Blain, Arthur (Gladys) Leis, Edgar (Nelda) Leis, Ethel (Elmer) Zehr, Clifford Leis (deceased), Minerva (Abner) Sauder, Delton (Ella May) Leis, and Mabel (Maurice) Sauder. Loved by her steadfast sons-in-law, Wayne, Chris Chown, and Philip, she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone. Mary put her family at the centre of her life, and loved music and having fun. Her warm and gentle grace, strength, sense of humour, and beautiful smile gave inspiration to all of us. In addition to her dedication to her family, she also gave her time and care generously to others. She enjoyed her work as a Nurses’ Aid at Heritage House in St. Jacobs, at Conestoga College as a Cake Decorating instructor, and also worked at Bauer Industries for many years. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-745-8467. A memorial service will take place on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place.
