Fischer, Henry It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful father, Henry Fischer. He went to be with our mother on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Henry was born in Munich and came to Canada in 1951. He was a longtime loyal employee in the maintenance department at J.M. Schneiders. Henry was predeceased by his wife Maria (1998), parents Gerda and Franz and brother Hans-Jorg. He leaves to mourn his 3 girls, Helga Ronnenberg (Terry), Linda Hallman (Peter) and Heidi Ingold (Tim). Opa will be missed by his broken-hearted grandchildren Heidi Hallman Meier (Matt), Steve Hallman, Lisa Hallman (Mike), Elizabeth Ingold (Nick) and Alexandra Ingold. His great grandchild, Lucie Meier, will miss him dearly. "It's okay Opa". Henry is survived by his sister Karin (late Jerry), brothers Dieter (Julie), Klaus (Cheri) and Hans, cousin Inge (late Wenzel) and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Henry was a great artist and has left us with many works of art to remember him always. Dogs - Dougie and Jerry - keep searching for the wonderful human who gave them far too many treats. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the excellent staff at Grand River and Freeport Hospitals for the care he received. To the angels at Trinity Long Term Care Home, we will forever be grateful for the loving care you gave our father. He loved you all! To Pastor Bestvater and Kathryn Bender, you were sent to us at the most critical time to help our father pass in peace. The blessings given meant so much to us and brought us comfort. One more time we say to you dear Pop, "Nacht, nacht Papa, until we meet again". As per Henry's wishes a private family gathering will be held. Private cremation has taken place.
